What's sad to me is Camden didn't do the correct thing and decline to move on. They lost, they knew they lost and it would have taught everyone a lot about sportsmanship if they told NJ that playing in the Finals was the wrong thing to do.
Refs screwing up the outcome of games since the beginning of time…
It’s just a game… move on
Just another angry black man, huh Rick?! Stop perpetuating stereotypes!
Theres this trend that referees want to have more attention than the players, thet end up doing shii like these.
In the words of Samuel Jackson , just because you pour syrup on it don't make it pancakes .
Camden loss . He clearly shot the ball before time expired .Put an asterisk by their championship . Nothing to be proud of . Tell young men the truth , they lost and won only because of the incompetence of the referees .
Poor kids…..
Unfortunately, the losing team had some Donald Trumps on their staff. They yelled and screamed and even hopped around while stomping their feet. Then they yelled and screamed some more – a temper tantrum for the ages. After that they yelled and screamed even more. Then they yelled and screamed even louder while aggressively waving their arms in the air. Suddenly, one weak-minded official started lying about what he saw. He committed the greatest crime an official can commit. THE REAL WINNING TEAM WAS JUST CELEBRATING but if they had been yelling “There was still time! That was a good basket!” over and over and over and over again then maybe that weak-minded official might have been more honest. He should never be allowed near a basketball court ever again.
I been saying it for years. Instant replay should be available on all levels of sports. From youth sport to professional sports . Because this is bs
Man-uh-squan 😭😂
I'd actually contest that the person that shot the ball from the sideline traveled…so it shouldn't have been a close one at all…that being said, the refs did not call that infraction so the following basket should have been allowed. It clearly left the other kids hands before the buzzer. This would drive any parent/player insane…so crazy
That basket should have counted and it was not that close of a call.
Oh F'n Christ!! Life aint fair. What better time to learn than in High School? Pathetic society.
If coach would've put me
in fourth quarter…
we'd have been
state champions, no doubt.
No doubt in my mind
You better believe things
would have been different.
I'd have gone pro…
in a heartbeat.
I'd be makin'
millions of dollars and…
livin' in a…
big ol' mansion somewhere.
You know, soakin' it up
in a hot tub with my soul mate.
I hate sports so can somebody please explain this to me do we actually waste government resources taking the results of a basketball game to ab actual court with a real judge??
It hurts, but human error is part of sports. I was actually more surprised at how well the actual winning team took the loss. 👏🏼👏🏼
Calls get missed. Calls get called incorrectly. It happens. A lawsuit for this was absolutely ridiculous. This is the world we live in. Sue for anything cuz you don't get your way.
Frivolous lawsuits should be a punishable offense.
This is one of the most important lessons taught by playing sports. The referees can overturn a close win. Sometimes, the game is unfair. You have to overcome the obstacles anyway. Dont just win. Make them remember you.
Gee it’s nuts how 1 of our only 2 cultures (gun and sports) isn’t important enough to try and get it right
What?
I thought it was pretty clear he got the shot off and i really could care less about who won.
Camden's Alijah Curry was the player that made the free throw at the start pf video. Manasquan missed the 3 and made the put back.
Angel Hernandez is a basketball ref?
To be fair, it was fractions of a second and no instant replay. Refs were in a bad spot.
But when it’s that close, you gotta go with the original call.
Why didn't they just look at the recording we all just saw….wow
Talk about a rigged game.
The score shouldn't have mattered, because the kid that caught the inbound should have been called for traveling. Because he took at least 4 steps before he got off his 3 point attempt. And court shouldn't even touch this case. Because the refs did everything they could do under the rules. They're not professional sports where instant replay is provided, they did what any referee staff would do, they all got together and talked it out and made their decision in real time. Like how all other highschool games are played. This isn't the NCAA or the NBA.
Highway robbery the better team lost that match just like March madness the better team on paper doesn't necessarily win that day. This is why we have instant replay.
Poor kids, they got robbed of a championship.
