What he did was embarrassing. But how does it make him unfit for his job?? Why should we take away everything??? What is this nonsensical vengeance???!! Penalty cannot be so disproportionate to the crime!! That is NOT justice!!!
Rubiales’s action was absolutely deplorable and indefensible. He should be sanctioned and made to suffer strict consequences for what he did.
However, despite the outrage and uproar over the incident – and Hermoso’s strenuous denials that the kiss was in any way remotely consensual, I have to say her laughing reaction to the kiss was not that of a woman shocked and peeved at what had just occurred. Truth be told, she seemed to have not minded the kiss at all, maybe even liked it a bit. It does’t excuse Rubiales’s crude action, but the portrayal of the woman as a merely hapless ‘victim’ is a bit far-fetched, to say the least.
