Drivers in Massachusetts are gonna get a settlement PLUS $32.50/hr MINIMUM.

The rideshare community is changing at lightspeed right now. The apps are seeing drivers and riders find ways to become transparent: talking to each other more often. With this happening, more people are choosing to help drivers’ income situations by paying them directly.

  1. I’m in California. The Bay Area. I just converted My first ride. Without Hum. I asked the rider how much Uber charged him. He said $47+. Uber was giving Me $22. I told him “I’ll help You and You help Me. I’ll do it for $35”. He said “Absolutely “ He paid Me $35 through Zelle. It felt Liberating! Thanks for all You do Jeff. God Bless.

  2. You nailed it, Jeff. Here in CA, land of Prop 22, the loophole you talk about is in full force, especially since this summer has been shit business wise. They would throttle my workflow to the max, give me three $6 rides within the first half hour and then have me sit for the rest of the hour. It’s a good thing I have it in me to talk and read the room a bit and pick out passengers without the app and give them a sweet ass deal before they would even open the app. Massachusetts is in for a rude awakening if they don’t think this would happen to them.

  3. ceo's dara~n~david are Going2JAIL4LIFE = PONZI SCHEME …. THEY ARE NOW READY TO DISAPPEAR TO EPPY'S INVISIBLE ISLAND
    !!!!!😅!!!!!
    ☆☆☆☆ = THANKU JEFF ~ PUSHING OUT THE COURAGE2DRIVERS = 2 TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR """FULL MONEY""" = U GOT THE KEYS 🔑 & CAR 🚗 = FUKE APPS !!!! ☆☆☆☆

  4. Makes one wonder how much a person can take them for if they just simply screenshot all of the crap Uber pulls. If they would rather settle everytime… seems like a nice pay check before they have to really pay out to EVERYONE.

  5. Riders! why the loyalty to the app?! Is it that you think the app will keep you safe? News flash, I got a call for a private ride while an Uber was in my car. He was cool with doubling up. I drove 4 miles in the wrong direction to drop off my client while the Uber was in the car and it didn't sound any alarms, the police weren't notified,….Nothing. Riders are as safe with the app as they are without the app. Furthermore let's say I'm a cop, working front desk, I get a call from Uber that a car stopped too long, drove miles in the wrong direction, hell even hit the help button and wouldn't answer when Uber called to see if they were ok. Yeah, real serious, I'm gonna take that reeeeaaallll serious. You know police are protected by supreme Court ruling to not be held responsible in annnnyyy way when anybody is hurt or killed right!? They won't go to jail even if they arrest somebody for assaulting you, let them go, and that person comes back and kills you in the same hour. They are 100% in the clear by ruling of the United States Supreme Court with exception of domestic residential cases where the woman is the victim only

  6. Here's my confusion. Attorney Shannon Liss – Riordan, a Boston based labor attorney. Shannon has been filing lawsuits with Uber and Lyft all over the country starting in 2013 regarding independent contractors or employees. The first 2 lawsuits were in California and Massachusetts my understanding of the recent ruling in Mass. is the court action still continues regarding this one issue 🤔 So until the most important question is answered we wait for the final outcome.

  7. Walnut Creek CA. is a stronghold for white supremacy ideologies and behaviors. Walnut Creek CA. is a systemically racist city. From the lying racist Contra Costa County fire department who will frame an innocent law abiding minority by starting small fires “investigating” them then determining the “suspect” to be an innocent law abiding minority. They will then team with the lying racist Walnut Creek police department to harass and surveil the innocent law abiding minority to the fullest extent of the “law”. These are taxpayer funded commissioners approved city leaders sanctioned white supremacy hate groups.

There’s nothing better than knowing Jesus.

  8. The more I've listened to this the more I've come to realize that Seattle currently has the best model. Because it's based on time and distance unlike this Massachusetts deal. The podcast started off being congratulatory towards Massachusetts and then it evolved to I'm not driving for $17 for 30 minutes. 😂 So forget about Massachusetts, forget about Minnesota, forget about California and forget about New York – I think the model to look at is Seattle which operates on a true rate card. Of course Jeff I know that you don't care about HUM pings but it would still be nice if they find the money to market more.

  9. Hey Jeff, with your knowledge and unique skill set – have you ever thought about requesting a meeting with or writing to Arizona legislators about how Arizona drivers are underpaid? Especially in light of what just went down in MA. Let's also not forget Seattle that also got a great deal. Like you said, AZ is a hot bed when it comes to events and the several month influx of winter visitors. AZ deserves better and I nominate you to lead the charge!

  10. They play the BIGGEST BS IN BOSTON!!
A 7-mile ride in this town takes 40 something minutes most days, and they want to pay you peanuts. I don't play this game. When the tunnel is closed, it's even worse. I go right down to New Hampshire, where a 7-mile ride is 9 minutes. But now Uber won't even tell me where the ride is going, just the distance to pick up (in New Hampshire).

  11. This is what I'd like to know, I'm driving in Massachusetts. When are they going to file a lawsuit for all the years we have been disenchanted with what's been going on with Uber?? There is a commercial spot on the radio out here asking rideshare drivers to contact this law firm for a class action lawsuit regarding independent contractor issues. This will be done in California?? So why isn't MA doing this ????

  12. jeff its so crazy we had the summer fest in milwaukee surgeing like crazy but the police blocks the event to where no uber drivers or lyft drivers could even enter the event to pick up riders how stupid is that how can i make this stop?????

  13. You know what I bet it has a lot to do with that wealthy guy that check to see if the writer got his tips I forgot what his name was but I believe that was one of the investors in Massachusetts, yeah that billionaire guy. As you know, wealthy people have friends in high places which most likely are politicians.
