The root of all our problems lie in the fact that the centre backs aren't that good. We don't have a world class CB. So they need more protection infront of them, meaning we often need to use two defensive minded midfielders, which holds the creative players up a bit more… All of the players, even the attackers are looking backwards.
The only way is a change of mentality and to embrace our attacking talent. Southgate isn't a man who can use that philosophy.
