7 Recent Wonderkids You’ve Surely Forgotten About

Plenty of young players emerge in football every year and some of them are always heralded as the future of the game or of a team. For every one young player who lives up to those expectations, there are almost 10 who fall by the wayside. Here are 7 recent wonder kids who seem to have already been forgotten.

Remember when everyone proclaimed that Ansu Fati was going to be the next Messi. He stormed into the Barcelona team as young as 16 and began making his mark even being handed the 10 jersey once the Argentine left. Once Xavi arrived, things began to change as the Spaniard found himself on the bench more often than not and he and his agent grew very frustrated. After a conversation with Xavi last summer, he saw it fit to leave and Brighton were more than happy to take him on loan. He failed to make much of a mark though as in 19 premier league games, he only scored twice; surely the Seagulls expected more. Still just 21, he may yet regain his former hype but only time will tell.

  1. Ansu Fati and Moise Kean still have a chance imo, if Fati just stops getting injured and if Kean just stops getting loaned out everywhere but Muokoko without a doubt will do good the guy just had a different playing style than his manager so once he gets used to it he'll do good again

  2. I always enjoyed Reyna. Sad to see him fall off since in his Dortmund days he was a serious baller. Just a likable player. And I would not say anyone forgot about Gonçalo Ramos because he is not receiving the same hype be he is still a big name and deservedly so. I have seen him play for PSG and he has been preforming top class.
