  1. La barrida – is a sweeping power cross kick that is said to be done just as the soccer ball is about to end up past the goal line, towards another player who would kick that ball into the goal.

    La chilena – that is a bicycle kick, derived from a name of a player from the Chile region who invented that type of kick. These stunt-like kicks are only used to finish off a shot towards a goal. They are never ever used in penalty shots or shootouts.

  2. So when you hear something like "Pulisic con un cabezazo…..goooooooooooooooooolllllllll por los Estados Unidos!" on Spanish TV like what happened in the World Cup between USA and Iran, you will understand that Spanish.
