Turkish football club Besiktas has terminated the contract of winger Emirhan Delibas after his online dating profile, which included false information about his age, went viral. The 21-year-old player denied that the profile was his and called it «fake.» The club did not provide an official reason for the decision, but it is believed to be connected to the alleged profile on dating app Bumble. The dating profile featured a photo of Delibas wearing Besiktas’ training kit and claimed he was 24 years old. Delibas made just two senior appearances for Besiktas before leaving the club. He began his career in the club’s youth academy in 2010. Delibas has represented Turkey at various youth levels. Besiktas is currently fourth in the Turkish Super Lig but is far behind the league leaders. This season, the club also terminated the contract of former Manchester United player Eric Bailly.
