10 Players That Could Have Played For Ireland

Today we’ll talk about 10 players who could have played for Ireland but chose to play for other countries. And you can be sure you will enjoy this one.

Starting with Harry Kane. He might just be England’s best player at the moment, but he could have easily represented Ireland instead. You see, his grandparents were actually Irish, who moved to England.
But over the next few years, someone else will become the new face of that England team. And that person might just be Jude Bellingham. And speaking of Jude Bellingham, he could have also played for Ireland.
Another player who will also have to play a key role for that to happen is Declan Rice. But did you know that Declan Rice could have been playing for the Irish senior team instead?
Yes! Harry Maguire is a certified baller, no arguments. And that’s why he won the Premier League Player of the Month award for November.

  1. As much as it is an honor to play for your birth country unless your country is a side that actually can compete for trophies its basically playing multiple very competitive friendlys and mostly losing or until more players actually start playing who can make a difference like what we are seeing in Africa

  2. I don’t think they would have been anywhere near as good as they are now if they chose to play for Ireland because the players around them would have been no where the quality and standard of England and no where near as good as England. They would have been good players but there well beyond a level above the players currently playing for Ireland. It’s sad to say as an Ireland fan but it’s true
