FIFA Soccer 96 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of FIFA Soccer 96 for the SEGA Genesis developed by Probe Entertainment and published by EA Sports.

EA’s third FIFA game, FIFA Soccer 96 jumped into the 3D era on other consoles, but on 16-bit systems, it was essentially an updated version of the previous game. Still, FIFA Soccer 96 is an excellent 16-bit soccer game with solid gameplay and several gameplay modes, including single matches, tournaments and international leagues. You can even start your own Swedish league! Grab the meatballs and crank up the At The Gates! For Genesis owners looking for a realistic approach to football/soccer, FIFA Soccer 96 is a fantastic option. The game includes single-player and local multiplayer play.

This video review features video gameplay footage of FIFA Soccer 96 for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

  1. I take it "soccer" is boring because it's not split into quarters and each match doesn't descend into meaningless points totals lmfao Also "soccer" is a very fluid sport which of course makes it boring compared to those where there is a stoppage every two seconds…

  2. it's not like I don't appreciate your introduction to the show, you do an ok job as a host, but you really need to get a little deeper in your reviews, saying that a game is boring and fun for 4 minutes does not really "review" the game pros and cons.  I know it is a football game so, fair enough, not much to say, but this kind of treatment it's shared among the other "reviews" that you do and I think is kind of killing this show..

  3. The FIFA games are pretty good, but I couldn't play any of the games for more than 2 hours. Of course it's boring. Football, soccer, whatever you want to call it, in the eyes of the viewer, is the most boring sport in the universe, out in the field, however, it is kinda fun.
I do enjoy Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven, though.
