FIFA Soccer 96 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of FIFA Soccer 96 for the SEGA Genesis developed by Probe Entertainment and published by EA Sports.
EA’s third FIFA game, FIFA Soccer 96 jumped into the 3D era on other consoles, but on 16-bit systems, it was essentially an updated version of the previous game. Still, FIFA Soccer 96 is an excellent 16-bit soccer game with solid gameplay and several gameplay modes, including single matches, tournaments and international leagues. You can even start your own Swedish league! Grab the meatballs and crank up the At The Gates! For Genesis owners looking for a realistic approach to football/soccer, FIFA Soccer 96 is a fantastic option. The game includes single-player and local multiplayer play.
This video review features video gameplay footage of FIFA Soccer 96 for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
At this point their focus was on the PlayStation and Saturn iterations of this release. Yet they still released "new" ones for the Genesis through FIFA 98.
1996… WOW, I remember my years of Arcade. ww w.footba llplanet.m e
Mutant league proper footbal/soccer imagine
I take it "soccer" is boring because it's not split into quarters and each match doesn't descend into meaningless points totals lmfao Also "soccer" is a very fluid sport which of course makes it boring compared to those where there is a stoppage every two seconds…
This was really popular in Brazil when I was a kid. Especially the first Fifa International Soccer. I dont remember hearing anyone say it was slow. We thought it was awesome.
All these sports games were sick on genesis basket ball especially…football soccer hockey ..so many hoop games they ran that shit SEGA!!!
Soccer games are probably the only game genre that's much, much better today. Except EA's games are the same every year. But I don't care, I like PES more anyway!!
You get a thumbs up for the melodic death metal references.
1:04 Gooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaeee
OMG ITZ CALLD FUTBOL! FOKIN MURICAN!
Gothamburg – Home of Batman.
I had this for the SNES
Play it on the Sega Cd
Your newer reviews aren't reviews. But your older videos are actual reviews
You know what? I fully agree! This game is sorely lacking melodic death metal. Maybe next time EA.
These reviews are starting to get boring…..
International Superstar Soccer Deluxe is the only 16-bit soccer/football game you'll ever need.
it's not like I don't appreciate your introduction to the show, you do an ok job as a host, but you really need to get a little deeper in your reviews, saying that a game is boring and fun for 4 minutes does not really "review" the game pros and cons. I know it is a football game so, fair enough, not much to say, but this kind of treatment it's shared among the other "reviews" that you do and I think is kind of killing this show..
The FIFA games are pretty good, but I couldn't play any of the games for more than 2 hours. Of course it's boring. Football, soccer, whatever you want to call it, in the eyes of the viewer, is the most boring sport in the universe, out in the field, however, it is kinda fun.
I do enjoy Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven, though.
Mario Strikers was the shit!
I remember playing Fifa95 and Fifa96 on my Mega Drive back on the day! Good old times!!
This fucking guy… Can't he just go through puberty already? -___-
"A shoots, B passes, and Y lobs." There's no Y button on Genesis. You sure this isn't on SNES? lol
I had a FIFA on Genesis but can't remember what year it was. I remember the star outline under the guy you're controlling. Takes me back. Before FIFA, there was Goal! for NES.
CGR Undertow – Fifa 96 PlayStation!
This was my first ever FIFA. There should be a sprint button lol. Those were the days
yanks even suck at football games
shooting from the far wing corner is definite goal at any difficulty.
try it.
its called football not soccer
Kinda impressive for Sega Genesis
Hello there!
