Former Manchester United player Dimitar Berbatov has expressed concern about Rasmus Hojlund’s goal drought in the Premier League this season. Hojlund, who joined Manchester United from Atalanta for £72 million in the summer, is yet to score a goal in the English top flight despite making 13 appearances, 10 of which were as a starter. Berbatov acknowledges that the longer Hojlund goes without scoring, the more it becomes an issue for him. While some have suggested that Manchester United should bring in another striker in January to relieve the pressure on Hojlund, Berbatov questions how that would actually help the situation. He believes that support from everyone at the club is crucial for Hojlund, who is visibly trying hard to score. Despite the goal drought, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has continued to show faith in Hojlund, and Berbatov sees this trust as key to the striker’s success. He hopes that Hojlund will start scoring soon and urges Manchester United to stick by him as he is still young and it would be a shame to give up on him so early in his career at the club.
