Racism, colonialism and nationalism cast a long shadow over soccer. So will the World Cup bring us together – or drive us apart?

ALHAMDUALLH❤❤❤❤I'M A MUSLIM, I'M AN AFRICANS
Если они останутся в своих странах,они не будут испытывать расизм.
NO AFRICAN IN AFRICA IS CALLING THEMSELVES FRENCH…KNOCK IT OFF
So I’m a Christian. If I came to school with a Christian cross around my neck, I would be told to take it off. I. E. I would face the same consequences as a Muslim wearing a hijab. That doesn’t sound like discrimination to me.
Anyone else tired of these garbage fake history videos?
From a country who's main sport is hockey, we're kinda the odd ones out in the world. Our interest in the world cup is moderate at most. I was more interested in tge racism and human right abuses of it than the soccer. For us if you can play hockey, you're an honorary Canadian.
1:00 Benzema
4:45 African migrants in France
What about match fixing ?
Sports are about a territory, made up of a 'country' (some eye catching colours as well of course) and another predefined territory kicking a ball of air into a net, or some other movement within spatial boundaries. It breeds nationalism and division. And of course the concept of 'money'. From buying teams to betting.
Those players are not victims, they are usually called up for their respective African teams, but they refuse.
This video confirms human stupidity
Football, soccer, call it what you will, will not change the effects of systemic racism. Case in point…look at the U.S. All of the sports have blacks, and sports like basketball, football, and for quite a while boxing, have been dominated by blacks, or are majority black when you look at the players. The sports may be integrated, but the many of the fans are still racists. Unfortunately, it is possible to be a non person of color, love LeBron James, and still hate black folks and people of color. As long a he’s winning for your city, or state, or even country (USA Olympic basketball team), you love him…but, daily, you can see people who look like him and still think of them as animals.
Looking forward to AJs video about the link between Islam and the murders of gay people….
The way the fans, cities, and countries treat players idk why any of them would be loyal to a team.
the African French soccers players were abused just recently because they lost to argentina, nothing has changed.
Racism exists in all parts iof the world for minority groups. I was raised in an Island with 75% were black and racism against me was terrible by blacks. We all have some form of racism inside of us- despite what your mind says. This doesn't necessarily mean on skin color, however even your gender or sexual orientation.
Soccer? American propaganda this !
Soccer? Do you mean football?
FIRST OF ALL, is not "soccer", is FOOTBALL.
Isn't it typical. Rashford (who experienced it) says it wasn't racist. Only to be interrupted and corrected because he doesn't support the narrative. Listen to the guy who experienced it please!
