  1. Just signed up for lyft 3 days ago. No bonuses. No streaks. No challenges. Nothin! Sounds like they are losing that ass. Where is the incentive to drive. Uber not even doing quests during the week. $20 for 30 trips on a weekend quest. Everything going up but pay and in rideshare is going in reverse taking shit fares. Don't take em. Take what you're value is.

  2. For those of you thinking of doing Instacart since Lyft might be a no go soon. Try to sign up now. In my region, I was put on a waiting list to be a driver/shopper when signing up. Better to get on the waiting list now and be ready come October (if your region is full at the moment).

  3. I wonder how the passengers are going to react especially well off passengers who use rideshare are going to react to a “regular” car pulling up. You can’t just screw people over in that regard. If I want a a really nice car to come that’s what I want. Not this nonsense

  4. Uber recently started the $3 minimum rides in AZ again. I was declining $3.99 for months. Uber is running a 20% off rider promo. I’m paying 20% less as a rider and getting 25% less as a driver. Hmmm? Drivers must not accept these $3-4 trips with gas at $5. They’re both trying to see if they can reset their inflated rates on the backs of desperate drivers.

  5. Lyft has been a back up app for me because uber is way busier but i also work as many app as i can i do not see how you can make it if you just work one app even uber and Lyft bonus i always choose the 30 or 20 ride ones because i know i can do that amount of rides during a busy time and not have to except bullshit rides they offer 80 ride bonus but then you go to except bull shit rides

  6. Missed the live but I'm here now about 1 hour thru. First off just need to say that anyone who joins your live then says something dumb like "why do you drive in the first place" should really sit down and have a look in the mirror. Why would someone join a live about rideshare then ask some dumb ass question like that. Also I agree with you 100% on the point regarding Uber & Lyft paying "new" drivers $2000-$3000 bonus to join the platform. $2000 well spend because these companies now they have a new high AR sucker to drive their car into the ground and take .50 cent per mile rides out of the demand area. Drivers like us are too smart for them and they can make more $ using some poor newbie who doesn't know the game like us. I'll keep watching still 3 hours left

  7. I believe Lyft is trying to change their platform to target certain demographics. Lyft the ride share app for people on a budget or want to be a cheap SOB. Ride with us and get a chance to ride in Jeff's orange Beamer. He has just been reclassified. 😁 Time to jump ship people.

  8. Lower fares, hourly caps….but the biggest reason is to get motherfckers into post covid cars. Why? Data selling. The newer cars are equipped with cameras, sensors, and "corrective" driving features. Data aggregates for the robots, Machines and AIs that will run Society5.0! LYFT and Uber make big money selling to city planners (smart cities) and machine learning companies.

  9. The 34 dollar background check is a fast injection of capital, it will show free cash flow on the earnings report and a profit. Now they get a price boost in the stock price because on paper it looks like they are profitable. Dont be surprised if the background check becomes quarterly…
