I got this Barbie Chelsea Soccer Playset for my 9-year-old daughter to play with.

The set comes with a Chelsea doll, Chelsea being Barbie’s younger sister. The doll has a kicking mechanism such that when you press her down her right leg kicks. She also has arms that you can move at the shoulders and a head that can swivel. She’s dressed in football kit including with shin pads under her socks. The football kit is an all-in-one kit with shorts and shirt combined into one garment which is against FIFA regulations, as the Cameroon national team found out previously, but in Malibu toy world it is fine.

Also with the set is a pitch. The pitch is made of cardboard and is perhaps smaller than expected. It has a surround so that the ball can’t roll off of the pitch. It also has two attachable goals to score in, with score cards above them for keeping score up to 3. The other accessories with the set are two puppies, a puppy bowl, two bone doggy treats, a sports medal that can hang around Chelsea’s neck, a backpack that Chelsea can wear, a snacks bag, two flags that the doll can hold and which supporters can wave, a sports drink bottle, a tactics board and a ball.

My daughter gives it 5-stars and says:

I like how you can keep the score, and how the set has bleachers so you can have other dolls sit down and watch, and it’s really good because when you push the doll down her leg kicks. This makes kicking the ball easier; if the kicking leg wasn’t there it’d be hard. I like how the dogs have lots of detail in their (fake) fur. I like the water bottle which has love heart designs on it. I like how the backpack opens and how the ball has a pattern. I thought the pitch might have been a bit bigger but I still love the set. 5-stars.
